Introduction
The Senge Tsangpo, also known as the Lion River, is one of the main rivers in western Tibet Autonomous Region, originating from a glacial lake north of Mount Kangrinboqe in the upper reaches of the Indus River. It flows from south to north to near Bomê, then turns west and converges with the Gar Tsangpo near Zaxigang, before flowing northwest into the Kashmir region.
