Introduction

The Five-Color Pond, located in the southern section of Jiuzhaigou, is the smallest and most beautiful lake. This pond never freezes and can be visited throughout the year. The water is rich in calcium carbonate, creating a stunning reflection of light on the surface. If photographed in sunlight, the pool presents different colors depending on the location and angle, which is very charming. The water in the Five-Color Pond is crystal clear, allowing one to see the rocky patterns on the bottom of the pool clearly. In the sunlight, the pond sparkles with various colors, making it mesmerizing. According to legend, if couples walk hand in hand towards the edge of the Five-Color Pond, silently make a wish, and then help each other up the 189 steps, they will love each other for the rest of their lives.
