Introduction

Jietai Temple is located on Ma'anshan in Mentougou District, Beijing. It was first built in the 5th year of the Tang Dynasty, and was originally named Huiju Temple. Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty renamed it Wanshou Chan Temple. It is commonly known as Jietan Temple because it houses the largest Buddhist altar in the country.

Subway: Take subway line 1 to Pingguoyuan station exit A, transfer to bus 931 or 948 directly. Driving: 1. West along Fushi Road-South at Shuangyu Roundabout, along Shimenying Ring Road-108 National Road for 7 km. 2. From the West Railway Station, drive west along Lianshi Road, pass Wolonggang, along Shimenying Ring Road-108 National Road for 7 km. (There are entrances and exits for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Ring Road) 3. Go west along Chang'an Avenue, turn right at the East Gate of Shougang Factory, go left at the Shijingshan Interchange Bridge, and then south at Shuangyu Roundabout.
