Introduction

On the north side of Jiangning Road, Anyuan, is a Song-style temple building called Jade Buddha Temple, which was built in 1918. The temple has a rigorous layout, harmonious structure, and magnificent momentum. The main axis consists of the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Great Buddha Hall, and the Jade Buddha Tower (Abbot's Room). On the left and right sides are the Sleeping Buddha Hall, the Guanyin Hall, the Bronze Buddha Hall, and the Dining Hall, arranged in a picturesque manner. Every year on the first day, the fifteenth day, or Buddhist traditional festivals, believers will climb the temple's stone steps to worship and pray for blessings. The temple is filled with incense and illuminated by blessings, creating a peaceful oasis in the city. In 2014, the Jade Buddha Temple underwent a three-year major renovation, and it will showcase a new look to believers and visitors.
