Introduction

The Monument to the People's Heroes stands at the center of Tiananmen Square in Beijing, aiming to commemorate the great revolutionary martyrs in China's modern history. The detailed depiction of more than 170 characters on the monument vividly showcases the magnificent process of the people's struggle in our country over the past century. On the front of the monument, Chairman Mao personally inscribed the eight characters "The people's heroes are immortal," while on the back is the inscription drafted by Chairman Mao and written by Premier Zhou Enlai. This is both the memory of the older generation and a place for the younger generation to learn. When coming to Tiananmen Square, how can one not come here to pay tribute to the heroes?
