Introduction

Tin Hau Temple located in the southern district of Stanley is a simple and unadorned building with no excessive decoration. This temple was built in 1767 and tells a magical story. In 1942, the Japanese army dropped two bombs on the temple, but both of them were duds and did not explode, leaving the people who took refuge in the temple unscathed. This story has been passed down to this day, making Tin Hau Temple even more mysterious.
