Introduction

The Hong Kong International Financial Center is a famous landmark in Hong Kong, located at 8 Finance Street in Central Hong Kong Island, facing Victoria Harbour, covering an area of 460,000 square meters. It was developed by IFC Development Limited, composed of MTR Corporation (now MTR Corporation Limited), Sun Hung Kai Properties, Henderson Land Development, Hong Kong and China Gas, and New World Development under the design of American architect César Pelli and Hong Kong architect Leo A. Daly. Today, the Hong Kong International Financial Center is the headquarters of Henderson Land Development and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The IFC Mall is the ground level of the Hong Kong International Financial Center, and the south side is the pre-check-in area for the airport express. Tourists can arrange their check-in and baggage drop-off here before going for their final shopping spree before heading to the airport. The airport express takes only 24 minutes to travel between the city and the airport, so if travelers have 5-6 hours to spare during their layover in Hong Kong, they can consider a visit here. Lane Crawford in the IFC Mall is the largest and most comprehensive department store in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, the Apple Store here occupies a prominent position on the two-storey level. Visitors can also relax at the Palace ifc cinema, which is known for its all-leather sofa seats and is considered as one of the most comfortable cinemas in Hong Kong.
