Introduction
Grand Teton National Park is located in the spectacular glacier region of northwestern Wyoming, United States. The park, established in 1929, covers an area of 1,256 square kilometers. It is home to the Grand Teton Peak, the highest peak in the park at 4,198 meters, and is home to glaciers that have withstood the test of time. There are also ice lakes scattered throughout the park, with Jenny Lake being the most famous. The dam formed by the Snake River creates the largest water body in the area, Jackson Lake. Standing atop the towering peaks and gazing at the continuous mountain range and millennia-old glaciers, one feels as if they are in a heavenly paradise. In the park, you can see herds of American bison, moose, and antelope, as well as many other mammal species. Opening hours Open all year round, closed on Christmas Day.
Transportation Typically accessed from the south, you can proceed to the Visitor Center - Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center (Mosse Visitor Center). Address: Teton Park Road, Moose, WY 83012, located in Mosse, 12 miles north of Jackson.
