Introduction

Las Americas is a very young city, as it was only marked on the map in 1970. The streets of this city are laid out like a chessboard, with various buildings including high-rises, apartments, and shopping centers. These buildings gradually extend 500 meters inland. Today, Las Americas has become a modern and popular vacation destination. Since the early 21st century, many fast lanes have slowly turned into tree-lined avenues, planted with palm trees. Accommodations are also covered with gardens, greenery, and neatly trimmed lawns. The government encourages hoteliers to reduce the number of rooms by half to provide more space for tourists. Some hoteliers have made bigger decisions, even demolishing existing buildings and redesigning brand new hotels. If you come to Las Americas, you will find that this city truly showcases the differences between the old and the new. The most obvious example is the adjacent hotels, H10 Conquistador and Villa Cortes. The former is designed in a very modern style, while the latter represents postmodernism.
