Introduction

The Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror stone house, built in 1580, used to be a private residence of a wealthy individual. It was later transformed into the Andorran parliament building in 1702. The ground floor serves as the country's only courtroom, while the upper floor functions as the parliament hall. Important official documents are kept in a small cupboard, which can only be accessed with seven keys.
