Introduction

Located in the southeast region of Yellowstone National Park, the Yellowstone Lake area is famous for its picturesque views and rich wildlife. With a surface area of approximately 354 square kilometers, Yellowstone Lake is the largest high-altitude volcanic lake in the United States. Surrounded by boreal evergreen forests, it is not only a natural habitat for birds and wildlife, but also a favorite destination for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Resembling a handprint, the "thumb" on the west side of the lake, West Thumb, is one of the famous thermal areas. Standing here to admire Yellowstone Lake, visitors will see a dazzling display of colors as the lake's water continuously changes due to the spectacular eruptions of underwater geysers. In winter, the lake is often covered with snow and ice, creating a stunning contrast with the distant snow-capped mountains.
