Main Camping Areas at Shuangjiake Lake
This camping site offers a peaceful and authentic camping experience. It is a simple self-service campground located just minutes away from Lake Minnewanka and close to attractions. It is only 15 minutes away from Banff Town and has beautiful scenery, making it suitable for tent camping or camping vehicles less than 27 feet long. It is also a great place for group camping.
Johnston Canyon Campground
This campsite is an ideal choice for experiencing an authentic and rustic camping experience. The campground is suitable for tent camping and small RVs. Located near Bow Valley Parkway (Highway 1A), it provides easy access to several unique attractions, including Johnston Canyon and Ink Pots.
Tunnel Mountain Village Campground
The campsite is very close to Banff town and has a kitchen stove for cooking. You can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, experience hiking and biking trails, and have a more traditional camping experience. The campsite is flexible and suitable for various camping options, and also has several large camping areas.
Tunnel Mountain Trailer Campground
The campsite is specifically designed for trailers and larger RVs (15 meters or 50 feet) and provides full water, electricity, and drainage facilities, as well as bus services to the town. The camping grounds are shared and offer scenic mountain views, as well as bike and hiking trails. Other services such as food and laundry are available, and there is a waterslide. There are also evening interpretive programs during the summer.
Tunnel Mountain Village 2 Campground
The campground is only a few minutes away from the town, making it suitable for families, backpackers, and group camping who need more space. It is also ideal for campers who do not have full electrical and water facilities but want electricity. The campground is close to local attractions and has a bus service to the town. It is open all year round, offering splendid mountain views and opportunities for hiking and biking.
Castle Mountain Campground
The campground is small and secluded, located in a beautiful forested area near Bow Valley Parkway (Highway 1A). It is suitable for tent camping or small RVs. Campers must register themselves, and there are opportunities to visit nearby attractions such as Silverton Falls and Johnston Canyon.
Double Jack Lakeside Campsite
The rustic campground is only 15 minutes away from Banff town, close to Lake Minnewanka and situated by the beautiful Two Jack Lake. It is ideal for tent camping or small RV camping, offering lakeside campsites with stunning mountain views and the opportunity to experience non-motorized boating. The campground also features ten oTENTik camping sites managed by Parks Canada.
