Introduction
Jean Nouvel, a French architect, designed a unique building for the Qatar National Museum with stunning visual effects. The building uses two-dimensional circles to seemingly combine and intertwine different functional spaces. The museum consists of four parts: the first is the old palace built in 1901, which was the residence and office of the first Emir; the second is the new building that exhibits images and artifacts related to medieval Islamic culture; there is also an ocean museum that showcases various marine life in the Gulf region; finally, there is a seawater lake filled with marine life on the east side of the old palace that connects to the ocean. The museum's unique design gives people a deeper understanding of Qatar's culture and history.
