Introduction

Chongming Island is located at the mouth of the Yangtze River and is the third largest island in China. It is known as the "gateway to the Yangtze River" and the "Oriental Pearl of the East China Sea," and it is also the world's largest alluvial sand island. Here, there is clear water and fresh air, and everywhere is natural scenery. The green tree-lined embankment surrounds the entire island, resembling a green dragon lying across the river mouth. In the early morning, ascend to the east end of the embankment to enjoy the sunrise over the East China Sea; in the evening, stand on the west side to watch the sunset over the Yangtze River, listening to the echoes of boat songs, feeling content and joyful. There are also many historical sites and cultural attractions here, such as Yingzhou Park, Tan Garden in Chengqiao Town, and the historical significance of Gold Turtle Mountain and the battlefield where Zheng Chenggong battled against the Qing army. In addition, the island also has many rural resorts, such as the avant-garde ecological village, Yingdong Village, and Gaojiazhuang Ecological Park, where you can enjoy delicious farmhouse food and go fishing, which is very enjoyable.
