Introduction
Nanchang Bayi Bridge, originally built in 1936 and named Zhongzheng Bridge, was a wooden bridge. After 1949, the city rebuilt Zhongzheng Bridge to improve traffic conditions and renamed it "Bayi Bridge". As time passed, the traffic on the bridge continued to increase and the old bridge's 10-meter width gradually became insufficient to support it. Therefore, the construction of the new Bayi Bridge began on November 5, 1995. The new bridge is located 50 meters upstream of the original bridge, with a total length of over 3,000 meters. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge in Nanchang City and the first cable-stayed bridge in Jiangxi Province. On September 29, 1997, the new Bayi Bridge was officially opened to traffic. It connects Yangming Road to the east, spans the Gan River, connects to Lushan South Avenue to the west, and connects to Changjiu Expressway to the north. It is an important gateway connecting Hunan, Hubei, Anhui, and northern Jiangxi. Address Ba Yi Bridge, Donghu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province
