Introduction

Yantaishan is magnificent and picturesque, with an altitude of 587 meters, making it the highest peak in the western part of Shenzhen. During the Anti-Japanese War, the local people and the Dongjiang Column staged a stunning "Great Rescue" that shocked both China and foreign countries, rescuing famous patriots such as Mao Dun, He Xiangning, and Zou Taofen from the occupied Guanghai-Jiu Island. Yantaishan is also known as "Hero Mountain" because of this. In 2008, "Yantai Folding Green" was named one of the Eight Scenic Spots in Shenzhen.

Transportation

Driving: Enter Shenzhen Tongle checkpoint from Guangshen Expressway and drive towards the right to exit at "Xili". To go to North Ring Road and Shennan Avenue, drive south on "Nanhai Avenue" and continue straight after passing the North Ring Road interchange to reach the Shennan Avenue interchange, then head to the intersection of Yantai Mountain and Daling Streets in the Shiyang district of Baoan district, which is the scenic spot.
