Introduction

Here is a place where sand and springs coexist and it is named after the sound generated by the sand. It was formerly known as "Sha Jiao Shan" or "Shen Sha Shan". Climbing Ming Sha Shan, one can enjoy the panoramic view of Crescent Spring and witness the sunset over the vast and desolate northwest desert at the mountain top. Crescent Spring is surrounded by Ming Sha Shan and is named after its crescent shape. It is the most famous scenic spot in the Ming Sha Shan Scenic Area. In late March and early April every year, the blooming apricot blossoms in the thousand-acre apricot orchard create a flower sea resembling clouds and mist.
