Introduction

Zhenyuan County is located in the eastern part of Guizhou and belongs to the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture. On the map, there is a protruding part in the central Xiangxi region of Hunan Province to the east, which resembles a wedge inserted into the eastern concave part of Guizhou. The ancient and beautiful Wuyang River winds like a "Taiji diagram" between the two cities of Fuwei, and the two large stone arch bridges span the river like two links, connecting the two cities. Zhenyuan has been an important landing point for people from Xiang and Chu regions, as well as a key route for gifts and messengers between the capital city, southwestern border regions, and countries such as Indochina, Myanmar, Thailand, and India, earning the name "Gateway to the Southern Silk Road."
