Introduction
Longxing Temple was originally built in the Dragon Soaring Garden of Murong Xi, a ruler of Later Yan during the Sixteen Kingdoms period of Eastern Jin dynasty. Later, it was rebuilt as Longzang Temple by Emperor Wen of Sui in the 6th year of Kaihuang (586 AD), and renamed as Longxing Temple in Tang dynasty. Longxing Temple is famous for its six treasures, including one of the most exquisite ancient buildings in China - Mani Hall, a colorful hanging sculpture of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, the most delicate bronze cast Vairocana Buddha in ancient China, the earliest existing Kai Shu inscription in China, the oldest and largest turning scripture library in China, and the tallest and oldest bronze statue of Guan Yin in the world. For tourists who enjoy cultural activities, Longxing Temple also hosts large-scale cultural performances during the Spring Festival Temple Fair, May Day and National Day, such as Emperor's Worship to Buddha and Thousand-Hand Avalokitesvara, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Buddhist culture.
