Introduction

The ancient cultural street is centered around the Tianhou Temple. On the archway at the south entrance, hangs a plaque that says "Jinmen Hometown," marking this area as a residential gathering place 800 years ago. Within this not so long street, there are various shops selling traditional antiques, handicrafts, and more. You can enjoy the charm of Yangliuqing New Year paintings, marvel at the art of mud figurines by Zhang, reminisce about Gou's kites at Wei Ji, and appreciate the delicate brick carvings by the Liu family. You can also enjoy Tianjin twisted crullers and warm tea soup while looking up at the eaves of the cultural street. The exquisite paintings on them vividly depict stories such as Dream of the Red Chamber, Princess Zhaojun of the Han Dynasty going out of the Great Wall, Yang Guifei's story based on the Song Dynasty's "Chang Hen Ge," Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai from the Song Dynasty, and Zheng Chenggong's recapture of Taiwan in the Ming Dynasty.
