Nanhou Street is located on the central axis of Fuzhou City, with a total length of about 1000 meters from Yangqiao intersection in the north to Dao Macao Bridge at Jibi Road in the south. It was named after being backed by Fuzhou South Street. The Nanhou Street archway is an important landmark on the central axis of the "Three Lanes and Seven Alleys". On its east side are seven alleys, including Yangqiao Lane, Langguan Lane, Anmin Lane, Huang Lane, Ta Lane, Gong Lane, and Jibei Lane, while on its west side are three lanes, including Yijin Lane, Wenru Lane, and Guanglu Lane. Nanhou Street used to be the main commercial street from the rise of the "Three Lanes and Seven Alleys" to the Republic of China era, where merchants gathered here.
