Introduction

Located 8 kilometers north of Huairou County and 50 kilometers from downtown, it is named after the large flocks of migratory birds, such as geese and cranes, that inhabit the area in spring. The climate in the lake area is pleasant, with a wide expanse of clear blue water, making it an ideal place for water sports and leisure vacations. Yanqi Lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with Yanshan Mountain acting as a screen on the north side and the Great Wall stretching across the northwest mountains. There are 18 enemy towers nearby, and the lake shore is about 20 kilometers long, shaded by green trees.
