Introduction

The Maoershan Scenic Area is located in the Nanling Mountains in the north of Guilin City, and is a national nature reserve. Its main peak reaches an altitude of 2141.5 meters, and is known as the top of southern China and the crown of the Five Ridges. The beautiful scenery of Maoershan can be enjoyed in all four seasons, with flowers in spring, a cool summer retreat, the best time for climbing in autumn, and snow viewing in winter. It is a tourist, curiosity-seeking, and summer resort, as well as a great choice for photography enthusiasts to capture sunrise and sunset. Standing on the top and looking around, the beautiful mountains and rivers are like a painting of heaven and earth, and the spectacular sea of clouds is also a major attraction. If you are lucky enough to stand on the Buddha Light Tower, you can see the colorful and brilliant Buddha light changing miraculously, which is amazing. In 1990, Lu Dingyi praised Maoershan as having the majesty of Mount Tai, the danger of Mount Hua, the seclusion of Mount Lushan, and the beauty of Mount Emei when he inscribed a monument on the Old Mountain Range.
