Introduction

Pingjiang Road in Suzhou is a historic old street, built along a small river with a total length of about 1.6 kilometers. This place is one of the best-preserved areas of Suzhou's ancient city, known as a miniature of the ancient city. The east and west sides of the street are dotted with many small alleys, such as Xuanqiao Lane, Daru Lane, Zhongzhangjia Lane, and Daxinqiao Lane, etc., especially on the east side, there are several water lanes, making the streets parallel to the river full of the characteristics of the water towns in southern China. The entire block perfectly preserves the old street style from the past, and even the renovated bars, souvenir shops, and cafes have no flashy nature, as if they are still residential areas.
