Introduction

Nantang, located in the south of Wenzhou City, is a picturesque water town with a long history. The Nantang River and Nantang Street have a history of over a thousand years. During the Song Dynasty, it was a place with a sea of lotus and lotus roots, known as the "80-mile lotus pond". At that time, the prefect Yang Pan of the Northern Song Dynasty wrote the poem "Leaving home late in the day, the boat shortens the trip. Blessed by the wind, the fragrance of lotus flowers extends ten miles", becoming one of the symbols of Wenzhou as the "birthplace of Chinese landscape poetry". Nowadays, "Impression Nantang" has been rated as a national 4A tourist attraction. The scenic area includes the north section of Nantang Street and Bailu Island Park Cultural Village, connected by two landscape bridges. The north section of Nantang Street is located by the Wenzhuitang River and features simple cobblestone walls, narrow alleys, and buildings with typical Jiangnan style of architecture, perfectly showcasing the harmony between ancient Wenzhou people and nature. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as night painting of Tang River, Box 1670, Bailuzhou Park, NianDai Art Museum, Nantang Bar Street, and Nantang New World to fully experience the charm of Nantang.
