Introduction
The Halal Street on the North Campus Gate is completely different from the bustling main street. Gao Family Courtyard is more like a hermit hiding in the market. It is the most well-preserved Han-style residential courtyard in Xi'an, with a deep cultural heritage. The four big characters "Top Scorer and Champion" on the door plaque exude the aura of a "knowledge master". The ancient wooden furniture, traditional residential couplets, brick carvings, and other artworks on the door plaque fully restore the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. In addition, folk paper-cutting, old photos, porcelain, and other artworks are also displayed. Gao Family Courtyard occasionally holds shadow puppet shows or Qin opera performances. With dim light bulbs, rectangular white screens, and the sound of "ding-dang" music, the unique bowl tunes of Guanzhong, with their lightness and delicacy, showcase the straightforward and simple nature of Shaanxi people.
