Gods' Pleasure: Temple Walk

Temples are scattered throughout the Kashi Vishwanath sub-region of India, with the main temple complexes being the Western Temple, Eastern Temple, and Southern Temple. The Western Temple complex requires a ticket of 250Rs. If time is limited, it is sufficient to visit the Western Temple, as the highlights are concentrated here. If there is extra time, it would also be nice to explore the Eastern Temple and Southern Temple and enjoy the rural scenery while admiring the smaller temples.

Lakshmana Temple

The temples in Khajuraho are masterpieces of art, filled with various exquisite carvings both inside and out. There are numerous figures in different postures, some of which are quite explicit, leading people to refer to them as 'sex temples.' In fact, erotic sculptures make up only a small portion, but they are more eye-catching. India, known as the land of yoga, showcases figures in these sculptures with extremely twisted postures, yet they appear natural and beautiful. Combined with the detailed and realistic expressions, these thousand-year-old images come to life vividly.

Bhagwan Parshwanath Jain Mandir

This is a group of Jain temples. Although not large in scale, the carvings are equally exquisite and delicate, and the forms are similar. The only difference is the appearance of a statue of Mahavira among the human sculptures.

Duladeo Shiva Temple

Dulhadev Temple is the largest temple in the southern group of temples in Khajuraho, and also the largest temple in Khajuraho.
