Jaipur Bazaar
In the center of the old city of Jaipur, there is a huge bazaar that stretches from the city center all the way south to the city walls. The small alleys inside are filled with shops serving the locals. The bazaar opposite the Hawa Mahal, which we refer to as the market, is somewhat like the wholesale market at Chenghuang Temple. It is filled with Indians and wholesales various items such as sarees and jewelry.
In front of the Hawa Mahal, the street under the honeycomb-like windows, there are many small shops on both sides. The things sold here are quite good. We spent several hours just wandering around here. One of the more distinctive items is the Indian pointed shoes.
Raj Mandir Cinema
This cinema has only one show a day, starting at 7:30 PM; it is the largest cinema I have ever seen, accommodating 2000 people at the same time; the cinema is quite comfortable and very clean. What makes it particularly special for me is that there are many pigeons flying around inside the cinema during the movie.
