Mammoth Campground
The Mammoth Campground, open year-round, is located approximately 5 miles (4000 meters) from the North Entrance. It has 85 campsites (first-come, first-served, no reservations), including 5 accessible sites. Among them, 51 campsites provide tent pads. Most campsites are drive-in, accommodating vehicles up to 75 feet. The campground does not provide electrical hookups or outlets. Restrooms offer flush toilets and drinking water. Generator use is allowed from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Madison Campground
Madison Campground is located next to the Madison River, close to Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, and the Upper, Middle, and Lower Geyser Basins. This campground is known for its suitability for fishing and convenience.
Fishing Bridge Campground
Fishing Bridge Campground is located near the Fishing Bridge by Yellowstone Lake. This campground has over 300 campsites, offers electricity, and can be reserved. Fishing Bridge Campground is a large RV campground open from late May to late September each year. The campsites are back-in accessible. Additionally, there are coin-operated dryers, showers, drinking water, and a dump station. There are also shops and restaurants at the nearby visitor center.
Norris Campground
Norris Campground is a campground located on the west side of Yellowstone National Park, offering nearly 100 campsites. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table. Nearby, there are fishing spots and hiking trails.
Tower Fall Campground
Tower Fall Campground is located 2 miles (1600 meters) south of Tower Junction. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. It is accessible by foot from Tower Creek. The campground is primarily composed of pine forests. It is suitable for tents and relatively small RVs. Drinking water and restrooms are available. Showers and lodging are available 2 miles away at Roosevelt Lodge.
Bridge Bay Campground
The campground is located on the shore of Yellowstone Lake, near Bridge Bay. The scenery around the campsite is beautiful, surrounded by trees and vast meadows. People who love boating and fishing mostly choose to camp here. It is only two miles from the Yellowstone Lake Hotel, where there are restaurants, gift shops, clinics, grocery stores, and a post office nearby, making it convenient to replenish camping supplies in a timely manner.
Canyon Campground
Canyon Campground is located within one mile of the Yellowstone Grand Canyon and is the most popular campground because it is centrally located in the entire Yellowstone Park. It is very convenient to go to the canyon and waterfalls from here.
Indian Creek Campground
Indian Creek Campground is located at Mammoth Hot Springs. First come, first served, no reservations. RVs cannot be longer than 40 feet. Potable water and restrooms are available.
Pebble Creek Campground
Pebble Creek Campground is located 9 miles from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park. No reservations are available. There are walk-in campsites, and drinking water and restrooms are provided.
Slough Creek Campground
Slough Creek Campground is a very small campground in Yellowstone Park, located 5 miles east of Tower Junction. Reservations are not available here. This campground is more suitable for tents and small RVs, and it provides drinking water and restrooms.
Lewis Lake Campground
Lewis Lake Campground is located southeast of Lewis Lake in Yellowstone National Park, 8 miles from the South Entrance, and cannot be reserved. This campground is situated on a wooded hill. There is a designated picnic area, and it provides drinking water and restrooms.
Grant Village Campground
Grant Village Campground is located on the southwestern shore of Yellowstone Lake, near West Thumb, making it convenient to walk to nearby boardwalks to view the nearby hot springs.
