Beizi Temple is a sacred site of Tibetan Buddhism. The area around Beizi Temple is lush with grass and beautiful scenery. The sacred Xilin River flows slowly from south to north on the west side of Beizi Temple, and now its banks are bustling urban areas. It is said that the chosen site for the temple was an auspicious and precious land. The temple experienced over a hundred years of prosperity, with up to 1,200 lamas at its peak. At that time, the senior lamas of the temple maintained close ties with the religious leaders in Lhasa, Tibet, and Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, often making pilgrimages on foot to these places to worship and study scriptures. However, following the fall of the Qing Dynasty, Beizi Temple began to decline gradually.
