Fluorescent Sea on the Beach
Even those who love the sea might not know that there is a quiet fluorescent party hidden under the night sky. The beach glows with specks of blue light, like falling stars accidentally dropped into the sea. This is known as the 'Blue Tears.' It often appears on summer nights in Pingtan Island, but it also depends on your luck.
Colorful Stone Houses in Beigang Village
Haizi once said that he wanted to build a house facing the sea, with spring flowers blossoming. These words have since become a dream and utopia for many. If you want to realize this dream, you can come to Pingtan Island. The stone houses here are nestled between the mountains and the sea, scattered artfully along the beach. The island's stone houses are still well-preserved. With red bricks, green tiles, saddle-shaped firewalls, and gable roofs, they exude the typical architectural charm of southern Fujian. Nowadays, many of these houses have been converted into cafes and guesthouses. Sitting by the window, sipping coffee, and listening to the songs of the sea, you can easily while away an afternoon.
Longfengtou Beach
Longfengtou Beach is the longest and largest beach in Pingtan, stretching for 9.5 kilometers. When the tide recedes, the flat and vast sandy beach is naturally formed and quite spectacular! At the seaside beach, you can ride small off-road vehicles, ride horses, play with surfboards, and there are not many people, making it very suitable for family leisure. Compared to the bathroom, the sanitary conditions of the beach are also good~
Changjiang'ao Windmill Field
Located in the northern part of Pingtan Island, the Changjiang'ao Wind Farm is actually a wind power plant. It is about 15 kilometers away from Pingtan County, and a taxi ride costs around 30-40 yuan. Along the way, you will pass the most beautiful coastal road on Pingtan Island, with the blue waves of the sea on one side and the colorful stone houses neatly arranged at the foot of Junshan on the other. For some reason, a large field of windmills appears before your eyes. Here, you will find clear blue skies and an endless sea. The scene of blue skies, white clouds, azure sea, and windmills makes you feel as if you are in a fairy tale paradise.
Tannan Bay Beach
Tannan Bay may not be long, but its beach is very soft, different from the crowded Longfengtou Beach. 'Tannan Bay' looks more local and vibrant, making it a favorite among backpackers and travelers. On summer nights, it feels like a place that never sleeps, with bonfires, sea breezes, and drinks. The beachside shops often play music, making one's thoughts drift away. During the fishing season, you can also see fishermen pulling nets on the beach.
