Haikou attractions guide, this article is enough

Spectacular blue sea and sky, enchanting underwater world, lush tropical jungle, legendary ethnic charm, unique volcanic geological relics, and leisurely resort destinations... That's Haikou. So, let's take a look at the must-see attractions in this place.

Baishamen Park

Baishamen Park is a coastal park located in the northern part of Haikou. It is a wetland scenic area with a pastoral ecological character, complete water systems, small sandbars in the water, and unique wooden bridges that connect sections, allowing people to experience the charming countryside. There are amusement parks, beaches, food streets, and other rich attractions (suitable for children to play, not crowded, but there is a Ferris wheel to sit and enjoy the scenery). On a good weather day, you can even see the Qiongzhou Strait!
Haikou Qilou Old Street is the most characteristic street scene in Haikou City. It is mainly distributed in old street areas such as Deshengsha Road, Zhongshan Road, Boai Road, Xinhua Road, Jiefang Road, and Changdi Road. The old streets are mostly Nanyang-style buildings, filled with exquisite and elegant sculptures and Western-style decorations, with a taste of Baroque. The Qilou buildings are not tall, mostly two or three stories high, and some still retain the early shop signs and delicate carvings on the railings, doors, and windows.

Haikou Shishan Volcano Group National Geological Park

There are more than 40 volcanoes here. The highest points of the volcanoes offer a view of the city and Qiongzhou Strait, making it a natural geological museum. This is a world-class tourist destination in Haikou, the leisure and entertainment capital of China.
As a large-scale film base, the Observation Hua Yi Feng Xiaogang Film Society in Guanlan Lake showcases the changes of Chinese urban neighborhoods in the past century. The diverse styles of Chinese and foreign buildings make people feel as if they have traveled back to the Republican era, with shops lining the streets and numerous restaurants. One can also experience the local customs by taking a ride in a yellow carriage or a horse-drawn carriage.
