Daishan Lake
Hefei Daishan Lake is located within Feidong County, about 50 kilometers from Hefei. It takes about an hour to reach by car from the city. The lake covers an area of 7,500 mu, equivalent to the size of Hangzhou's West Lake. Originally built as a reservoir by local villagers after liberation, Daishan Lake remains unpolluted due to its distance from the city and its surrounding rural fields, offering a sense of pure and natural intimacy. Compared to the vast Chaohu Lake, Daishan Lake is as pure and delicate as a southern village girl. Standing on the shore, one can see the vast lake surface rippling with clear waves, surrounded by lush hills and peaks. The eastern part of the lake is open, while the western part is winding and meandering, naturally forming numerous ports and inlets.
