Chengdu

The starting point of National Highway 318 is in Shanghai, and the end point is the Friendship Bridge in Tibet, with a total length of 5476 kilometers. The Chengdu-Lhasa section is 2142 kilometers long. It is the longest national highway in China, officially opened in 1958. The southern route starts from Ya'an and splits from National Highway 108, crossing Mount Erlang to the west. National Highway 318's southern section in Sichuan and Tibet, located on the 30th parallel north, is known as "China's scenic highway."

Ya'an

Yaxi Expressway is a highway connecting Ya'an and Xichang cities. It is 240 kilometers long and construction started in 2007 and was completed in 2012. It is one of the eight western major routes and an important part of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway. It is also a significant component of the Gansu Lanzhou-Mohan Highway within Sichuan territory.

Mo Xi Town

Moxi Town is located in the central part of Luding County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. It is at the eastern foot of Mount Gongga, with an altitude of about 1600 meters. "Moxi" means "treasure land" in ancient Qiang language. Moxi Town is under the management of Hailuogou Scenic Area Administration Bureau, serving as a tourist reception base and entrance to Hailuogou. It is approximately 304 kilometers away from Chengdu, 52 kilometers from Luding County, and 70 kilometers from Kangding.

Jiuzhaigou Valley

Luding County is located in the southeast of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. It covers a total area of 2165 square kilometers and has a population of about 80,000. The Luding Bridge, located on the Dadu River, runs through the entire county from north to south. The county is characterized by high mountains, steep slopes, and deep valleys, making it a typical high mountain canyon area. The Luding Bridge is famous as the site where the Red Army "fought and captured Luding Bridge" during the Long March in 1935.

Kangding City

Kangding City, formerly known as Dajianlu, is located in the eastern part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is famous for being a "communication hub between Tibet and Sichuan" and a "key point between Sichuan and Tibet," serving as the political, economic, cultural, and commercial center as well as the transportation hub of the entire prefecture. Kangding is also known for its folk song "Kangding Love Song." The scenic area of Gongga Mountain is located in Kangding, Luding, and Jiulong counties.
Xinduqiao Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Kangding County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. It was established in 1992 and is located in the western part of Kangding County. It covers an area of 508.3 square kilometers and has a population of 6,012 people. Xinduqiao is known for its beautiful scenery and is a popular destination for photography. In December 2019, Waze Township was abolished and its administrative area was transferred to the jurisdiction of Xinduqiao Town. The People's Government of Xinduqiao Town is located at No. 342 Xinduqiao Street.
