Larung Gar Buddhist Academy in Seda County
The full name of Seda Larung Gar Buddhist Academy is Larung Gar Buddhist Academy in Seda County, located at an altitude of over 4000 meters. Surrounded by layers of mountains, with the main hall of the Buddhist Academy at its center, the surrounding hillsides are densely packed with countless crimson wooden houses, stretching endlessly as far as the eye can see.
Seda Sky Burial Platform is located in the northeastern part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, with an average altitude of over 4000 meters. Seda means 'Golden Horse' in Tibetan. It is built on a relatively flat hillside slope. Next to a small white tower, an iron fence encloses a flat area about the size of a basketball court, which is the place for sky burials. Nearby, an area is cordoned off with poles for family members to watch.
Jiaju Tibetan Village in Danba
Jiaju Tibetan Village is located in Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan, about 8 kilometers from the county town. It is the most distinctive tourist attraction in Danba. In September 2016, it was officially approved as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. 'Jiaju' means 'a hundred households' in Tibetan. The village towers generally cover an area of about 200 square meters, usually have three floors, and are about 15 meters high, all made of stone and wood. They use original materials and techniques to maintain a traditional and rustic appearance.
Jinchuan Pear Blossom Festival
'Suddenly, like a night of spring breeze, thousands of pear trees bloom,' Jinchuan is located in Aba, Sichuan. The county has the world's largest original ecological, high-altitude snow pear planting area and is known as the 'Hometown of Chinese Snow Pears.' Every March, when the pear blossoms bloom, Jinchuan reaches its most beautiful moment. The Jinchuan Pear Blossom Festival opens in mid to late March each year, with over a hundred miles of snow pear forests, totaling more than one million trees, in full bloom.
