Helsinki Zoo
Helsinki Zoo features numerous exhibits, such as the Reptile House, Mammal House, African House, and Asian House. It houses a variety of animals, including 150 animal species and over 1,000 plant species, many of which are endangered.
Helsinki University Main Library
It serves teachers and students in the fields of arts, law, social sciences, and technology. The facade of the library uses glass and red bricks as the main materials. The interior of the above-ground part of the building has an elliptical open space in the middle.
Mannerheim Museum
The Mannerheim Museum is the former residence of President Mannerheim. The museum displays furniture arranged in the rooms from the early 1940s, as well as some related materials and photos that introduce the life of Mannerheim.
The National Gallery was built in 1887, located opposite the Central Railway Station. It is the most important and oldest art museum in Finland, housing classical artworks from Finland's Golden Age, including many watercolor and gouache paintings by famous artists.
The Daughter of the Baltic Sea Statue, also known as the Amanda Bronze Statue, is a bronze statue of a young girl. During the annual May 1st Vappu festival, Finnish high school and university students hold a grand hat-wearing celebration next to the Amanda statue. It is a traditional Finnish festival not to be missed.
