Filming locations in Yinchuan, Ningxia

Yinchuan City is the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is located in the northwest region of China and is known as the "Jiangnan on the Frontier" due to its beautiful and fertile Ningxia Plain, with the majestic Helan Mountains to the west and the flowing Yellow River to the east. It is an important center city in the northwest region.

Zhenbei Castle Western Film City is located in Zhenbei, a suburb of Yinchuan City, Ningxia. It is a film and television base in northwest China. It has been the filming location for major works such as "Red Sorghum," "A Chinese Odyssey," TV series "New Dragon Inn," "Ashes of Time," "The Blade," "Heroic Legend of Dazhi," "Red River Valley," and "Yellow River Love."
In the local area, the South Gate is also called "Little Tiananmen". In the middle of the platform wall, there is a north-south arched doorway. On both sides of the doorway facing Taipei, there are symmetrical steps, and visitors can climb the city wall along the steps. In the center of the high platform, there is a two-story building with a hipped roof and multiple eaves. With white walls, red pillars, and green tiles, it looks very similar to Beijing's Tiananmen City Gate.

Western Xia Imperial Tombs

The Western Xia Imperial Tombs are located in the Xixia District of Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. It is a collective term for the tombs of the emperors of the Western Xia Dynasty on the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains. The site covers an area of approximately 50 square kilometers and is one of the largest and best-preserved imperial tomb complexes in China, earning it the nickname "Eastern Pyramids".

Shapo Head Scenic Area

This place combines the magnificence of the desert, Yellow River, mountains, and oasis, showcasing the spectacular scenery of Northwest China as well as the beauty of Jiangnan. It is also home to historical relics such as the World Heritage Site of the Great Wall of the Warring States period.

Nanguan Mosque

The Nanguan Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the northern Chinese Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, located in the old city of Yinchuan. It holds a high place in the hearts of the Hui people in Ningxia.

Tanglang canal

The Tang Canal, also known as Tang Qu, was built during the reign of Empress Wu Zetian in the Tang Dynasty. It has been repaired by various dynasties. The canal mouth is located near Qingtongxia and flows northward through Qingtongxia, Yongning, Yinchuan, Helan, and other counties, terminating at Pingluo County. It has a total length of 322 kilometers, with more than 500 large and small channels, irrigating 900,000 mu of farmland. It is the largest of the fourteen major canals in the Yinchuan Plain, with a width ranging from over 30 meters at its widest point to 5 meters at its narrowest, and an average width of 24 meters.
