Tongguan Yellow River Scenic Area is located beside the ancient military famous pass-Tongguan Ancient City, 140 kilometers away from Xi'an and only 20 kilometers away from Mount Huashan. The Yellow River, rushing southward, passes through the Qin and Jin Gorges. "The river emerges from Tongguan, and the resistance of Mount Taihua increases its strength" (Mao Zedong). Outside Tongguan Ancient City, the Wei River and the Luo River converge with the Yellow River, and then suddenly turn eastward at this point. The southern boundary of the scenic area is the 310 National Road in Tongguan Ancient City area, starting from Jinpen Interchange Bridge in the west to the water area and beach in the county downstream of Huanghe Highway Bridge in the east. The length of the scenic area along the river from east to west is about ten kilometers, with a developable area of 20 square kilometers on the water and land as well as the beach oasis. There are the Yellow River, Wei River, Nüwa Mausoleum, Tongguan Ancient City, and many ancient battlefield sites in the area.

Located on the southern bank of the confluence of the Huang and Wei rivers, 10 kilometers away from the county town. Built in the second year of the Tang Tian Shou period (691 AD), fortified during the Song, Jin, and Yuan dynasties, and expanded and repaired during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The city wall is approximately 5,500 meters long, 16 meters high, and 7 meters wide, with east, west, south, and north city gates, as well as south and north water gates. During the years 1937-1945, it was heavily damaged by Japanese aggression, artillery attacks, air raids, and the destruction by the Nationalist Army stationed there. In 1959, the Sanmenxia Reservoir was built for flood control, and the county town was relocated, resulting in the demolition of most of the city walls and buildings, but the city's remains still exist. It is a place to pay tribute to history and will evoke deep emotions.

Lantian pancake has a large portion and is a special local delicacy, sour and delicious. Roasted buns have crispy skin and flavorful fillings. Highly recommend coming to taste them.
