Longmen Ancient Town is located on the southern bank of the Fuchun River, 52 kilometers southwest of Hangzhou City. It got its name because during the Eastern Han Dynasty, a traveler named Yan Ziling praised the scenery as "mountains and waters here are clear and beautiful, surpassing Longmen in Lvliang." It is a town paved with cobblestones, with cobblestone paths and walls, which gives people a unique visual impact. After years of wind and rain erosion, the cobblestones have become smooth and glossy, giving the feeling of enjoying a free foot massage when stepping on them. These smooth cobblestones are also the best witness of the town's history.

Douyan is located in Paitou Town, southwest of Zhuji city, with a distance of 12 kilometers from the city center. It covers an area of 5.5 square kilometers and is a part of the Wuxie National Scenic Area. There are multiple explanations for the name Douyan, primarily three: firstly, the local people call the steep rocks here "douyan" because the rocks are extremely steep and "dou" is phonetically similar to "steep" in the local dialect; secondly, the peaks here are scattered and resemble the seven stars of the Big Dipper, and the Big Dipper is called "Douxiu" in Chinese, hence the name.

Fuchun River Little Three Gorges is the most beautiful section of Fuchun River. It is located in the upstream of Fuchun River, from Qili Village in Tonglu to Meicheng in Jiande. The gorge is characterized by high mountains, deep valleys, and gentle water currents. Taking a boat trip is the best way to appreciate the natural scenery that rivals the Three Gorges. Fuchun River Little Three Gorges is 24 kilometers long and is divided into Longmen Gorge, Ziling Gorge, and Zixu Gorge. Along the way, there are not only beautiful landscapes but also many scenic spots. Among them, Tonglu's Yanziling Fishing Platform boat tour covers the Longmen Gorge section from Qili Village to Yanziling Fishing Platform; Jiande's "Qiliyangfan" includes Ziling Gorge and Zixu Gorge. The Qiliyangfan at the foot of Tongjun Mountain in Tonglu has fewer tourists and is also a good choice to appreciate the scenery of Fuchun River.

The local restaurant is located by the roadside, with the main entrance facing a small path. A red lantern is hanging on the second floor. The restaurant has independent private rooms and enthusiastic staff. We ordered several recommended signature dishes from Dianping, and the food was served quickly and tasted good. Especially, the final bill was quite affordable. If you visit Tonglu, I recommend this restaurant.

Baiyuanyuan is located on the bank of the Fuchun River in Tonglu, Zhejiang. It consists of mountains and canyons. Here, you can hike along the mountain trails, enjoy the clear ponds and streams, and breathe in the cool and pure air of the deep mountains. Finally, you can witness the majestic waterfall at Dalongmen. Baiyuanyuan's main peak, Guanyin Peak, has an elevation of 1,246.5 meters, making it the tallest peak by the Fuchun River. The area is rarely visited by people, and the high-altitude forests are abundant, with pristine pools and flowing streams, creating an excellent ecological environment. When visiting the scenic area, you can take a shuttle bus to the starting point and then choose to hike or take an electric car up the mountain. If you want to enjoy the pristine environment here, it is recommended to hike, as there are also scenic views along the way. Baiyuanyuan has abundant rainfall in the mountainous area, and the average temperature in summer is 6 degrees lower than in Hangzhou. It is especially suitable for visiting waterfalls after rain. Compared to some more well-known scenic areas nearby, Baiyuanyuan has fewer tourists, and there are also rural households near the entrance of the scenic area that provide dining and accommodation, making it a perfect place for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a summer retreat.
