Phuket Town is located in the central part of Phuket, about a 30-minute drive from Phuket Airport and a 45-minute drive from Patong. This is where the Phuket government is located, while Patong is the tourist center, and the two have different atmospheres. In Phuket Town, you can get an in-depth look at the local way of life and taste cheap and delicious food. Phuket Town includes residential areas, commercial areas, schools, and other areas, but not all areas are worth visiting.
Early Chinese immigrants once gathered in Phuket Town, and the old street preserves nearly a century of Portuguese-style architecture, which is one of the shooting locations for the Thai movie "Seasons Change." These buildings have been protected by the government. On the old street, you can find shops selling traditional Peranakan-style clothing, and some old houses have been converted into bars and guesthouses, suitable for fresh tourists or photography enthusiasts who like to look for the shadows of old times in Phuket Town.
In addition to the old street, Phuket Town also has a viewing point located on Rang Hill. On the hill, besides dense vegetation and negative oxygen ions, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Phuket Town and the east coast. At night, Rang Hill is a good place for local couples to date, and there are several famous restaurants on the hill, suitable for enjoying the night view of Phuket. During the day, when you go up to Rang Hill, you also have the chance to see groups of macaques. You can feed them with peanuts, but please do not touch them. If you are injured, you need to go to the hospital for timely vaccination.

Wat Chalong, located in the Chalong area of Phuket, is one of the oldest and most famous temples in Phuket with a history of over 100 years. The temple adopts traditional Thai architectural style and has four main halls: the main hall, the pagoda, the original site of the temple, and the old ancestor hall. The main hall is the most eye-catching building in the temple, where three bronze statues of high monks are enshrined for worshipers to feel the solemn atmosphere of Buddhism. The pagoda is the tallest building in the temple, divided into three floors. The first floor enshrines seven different postures of Buddha statues based on the day of worshipper's birth. The second floor enshrines a white jade Buddha statue, while the third floor enshrines the holy relic of Buddhism: Buddha's ashes, which was given to Thailand by Sri Lanka, and is very precious despite its small size. The original site of the temple is a small wooden house that has been preserved since the temple was built. It enshrines wax statues of the three high monks and some utensils that were used by high monks, and is also the only hall in the temple with air conditioning. There is also a slightly inconspicuous white building near the center of the temple, where Buddha statues and two bronze guardian statues are enshrined, and worshippers can offer incense through small holes in the mouths of the bronze statues. Wat Chalong also offers inexpensive souvenirs for tourists to buy, but some halls are not open to visitors, so please be aware.

Located on the west coast, Kata Beach is adjacent to Karon. From Patong, taking a tuk-tuk only takes 15 minutes and costs about 450 baht. Among the three main beaches, Kata Beach is the most suitable for swimming. Although the beach is not very long, the sand is soft and the waves are very mild. There are rocks at both ends of the beach, making it a good place for taking pictures. There are many European and American tourists on the beach, laying lazily on beach chairs all day long. The whole Kata area is mainly for European and American tourists, presenting a seaside town flavor. The restaurants here mainly serve western food to cater to the tourists' taste. Although there are also cafes and bars on Kata Beach, it is not as lively as Patong. The overall prices for food and shopping are higher than those in Patong and Karon.

Emperor Island is located about 20 kilometers south of Phuket Island. Although there are not many attractions compared to Pipi Island, its beautiful scenery, clear water, abundant marine life, and pristine environment are loved by many Chinese travelers. The water quality around the island is very clear, and you can snorkel directly from the beach into the sea. There is no commercial area on Emperor Island, and the only souvenir shop is in the hotel.
