Introduction

Kuranda is a small town hidden in the tropical rainforest of northern Cairns, Queensland, approximately 27 kilometers away from the city. It was first established in 1850 as the only transport hub for transporting and storing goods and providing accommodation for travelers. Now, over 500,000 tourists visit every year. Despite its population of only 750 people, it has spectacular scenery such as towering ancient trees, cascading waterfalls, exotic wildlife, and blooming flowers. Tourists can participate in various activities such as riverboat cruises, birdhouses, Aboriginal dance performances, and dart training camps. The most popular is the tropical rainforest amphibious warfare vehicle, where visitors can ride in renovated WWII vehicles to enjoy beautiful scenery, including little turtles and saltwater crocodiles in the lake, and tropical butterflies in the jungle. In addition, tourists can purchase various handicrafts, porcelain, Aboriginal cultural decorations, and Australian opals in Kuranda. Overall, Kuranda is a place worth visiting.
