Introduction

The Art Gallery of Western Australia is located in the city center, inside the Northbridge Arts Centre. The gallery mainly displays works of local artists, including Indigenous cultural arts, as well as collections of works from artists in Australia and other countries. Since 2012, the Art Gallery of Western Australia has maintained a partnership with the Museum of Modern Art in New York, becoming the only art gallery in Australia to collaborate with it. During this time, the gallery will host six world-class art exhibitions, including "From Picasso to Warhol" in 2012 and "Van Gogh, Dali and Beyond: The World Reimagined" in 2013.
