Introduction
The Coba Ruins are located deep in the tropical rainforest and are one of the largest Mayan ruins discovered to date. It is surrounded by five lakes, and the central area is connected to scattered buildings around it by radial roads. During its heyday, Coba had about 50,000 residents or more, and the entire site covers about 80 square kilometers. It is said that the part open to tourists is only the tip of the iceberg, and only a small portion of the site is truly breathtaking in its magnitude.
