Introduction

Chapultepec, meaning "hill of the grasshopper" in Nahuatl, is located at an altitude of 2,325 meters. It was once a refuge for wandering Aztec tribes and later became a summer retreat for Aztec nobility. It is the only royal castle on the American continent. Over the years, the purpose of this building has changed, serving as a military academy, royal residence, presidential mansion, and weather station. Today, Chapultepec has become a national museum.
