Introduction

The largest church in Lucca is the Church of San Michele, built in the 8th century and restored in the 11th and 19th centuries. The sacred church is decorated with many exquisite sculptures, most notably the statue of San Michele, which is 4 meters tall and shines with golden light. Next to the church is a famous open-air market, which hosts a flea market every weekend, offering a variety of items from needles to antique furniture. In addition, during the Christmas season, it also becomes a large market selling various holiday items, including candy, balloons, Christmas trees, and Santa Claus dolls. Additionally, next to the market is an outdoor pergola that regularly hosts outdoor concerts, allowing people to enjoy the beauty of music.
