Introduction

The Church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore is a Baroque-style Catholic church located in Milan. Its exterior is simple while the interior is ornate, featuring restored 16th-century frescoes and a 500-year-old organ that can be visited for free. The church was originally part of the Monastery of San Maurizio Maggiore, which was the most important local monastery. From October to June on Sundays, the church follows the Italian-Albanian tradition and holds Byzantine celebrations in Greek.
