Matthorn Glacier Paradise
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is located on the peak of the Little Matterhorn, at an altitude of 3883 meters, making it one of the highest viewing platforms in Europe. Here, you can witness up close the majestic beauty of Matterhorn and its surrounding snow-capped mountains, as well as breathtaking views of the glaciers. The top of the Glacier Paradise is covered with snow all year round, offering endless snowscapes and white clouds drifting below your feet, as if you have entered a fairyland. In addition to the 360-degree panoramic view of the mountains, you can also enjoy a view of the peaks of the Alps, with elevations above 4000 meters in France, Italy, and Switzerland, and even see the Jungfrau.
Piz Gloria
Schilthorn Piz Gloria is a 360-degree rotating restaurant located on the Schilthorn mountain, which appeared in the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". When the weather is good, it's worth dining here to take in the breathtaking views of the peaks. Every time the restaurant rotates, there is a clear sign showing which peaks are being faced and their elevations. The menu mainly features Swiss local flavors, and daily specials are recommended. Although the prices are not cheap, it is worth experiencing. In addition, a James Bond 007 Brunch is served before 2:00 p.m. every day, which is popular among tourists, and the coffee with "007" carved on it is also quite popular.
Sphinx Observatory
Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe
The final stop of visiting Jungfraujoch and the endpoint of the train station is the Sphinx Observatory. Situated in a mountain hollow of Jungfrau, the observatory offers a 360-degree view of the entire Alpine panorama, including peaks such as Jungfrau, Monch, and Eiger.
The observatory is also home to one of the symbols of Jungfrau, the Swiss flag. Since the opening of Jungfrau in 1912, the flag has been placed here. Nowadays, taking a photo with this significant flag has become one of the must-do activities for tourists visiting the observatory.
Gornegrat viewing platform
Gornergrat is a ridge near Zermatt, from where the viewing platform offers a stunning view of the over 4000-meter-high mountains covered in snow and ice year-round between the Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa, as well as a panoramic view of the second-longest Gorner Glacier in the Alps. Taking the small train to the viewing platform is also an experience not to be missed. From Zermatt, take the Gornergrat Bahn mountain train for about 38 minutes to the top, and the final stop is the Gornergrat viewing platform. Don't underestimate this small train, it has been operating since 1898 and is the highest open-air cog railway in Switzerland. Along the way, it is worth stopping briefly to admire the different scenery.
Nailfoong
Piz Nair is a mountain located to the west of St. Moritz. Standing at the summit of 3075 meters, you can overlook the panoramic view of St. Moritz and the Engadin Valley. The view is vast and the scenery is very beautiful. To reach the summit of Piz Nair, you can take a path from St. Moritz to Suvretta and then change to a high-altitude cable car. Looking down from the high mountain top, the side of the mountain is extremely steep, which can be both terrifying and stunning as you view the scenery below.
