Introduction

This building was constructed between 1160-1232 and is a highly representative landmark in the old town area. The cathedral is a building that incorporates multiple architectural styles. Initially, it was designed with Romanesque style as the basis, but Gothic techniques were used for the arches. In the 18th century, the facade of the building was further embellished with Greek-Roman style columns and a dome similar to that of the Pantheon in Rome. Overall, the unique feature of this cathedral lies in its hybrid architectural style and rich historical background.
