Introduction
Uppsala Cathedral is a cathedral located in the center of the Swedish city of Uppsala, founded in 1287. The current church was rebuilt in the Gothic Revival style in 1885-1893. It is the largest church building in the Scandinavian region, reaching a height of 118.7 meters. Originally a Roman Catholic church, it was used for the crowning and burial of Swedish monarchs. However, after the Reformation, the church became the Swedish Lutheran Church of the Augsburg Confession and is currently the residence of the Archbishop of the Church of Sweden.
