Introduction

The Natural History Museum of Sweden (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet) is one of Sweden's main history museums. It was founded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1819 and exhibits and collects over 9 million items purchased and collected by the Swedish Royal Museum since 1739. The building was completed in 1916, and next to the museum is an observatory and an IMAX cinema.
